There are an amazing variety of goddesses whose names and attributes have survived via storytelling since prehistory. There are many more whose image has come to us through archaeological excavation from sites where no evidence of written language has been found. We will never know the names people used for goddesses shown in this image, but using our intuition we may get some slight sense of what they were thinking.
